The SKALA ceiling and wall light is like an architectural element in the room. It creates a seamless transition between light source and the ceiling. As soon as the light is switched on SKALA’s special feature becomes apparent: The interplay of light and shadow on the differently shaped surface creates a veritable ornament of light!
If SKALA is also chosen in stained rose or yellow the lamp becomes a colored reflector creating a pleasantly atmospheric light. With the white stain the SKALA ceiling and wall light takes on the appearance of stucco decoration and is an ideal choice especially in classic older buildings. The wood grain remains visible through the matte and eco-friendly chalk paint and underlines the unique character of this design object. SKALA also develops a natural charm in oiled natural wood and can be beautifully combined with wooden floors, doors or even half-timbered walls.
Depending on the choice of light source (bulb size or reflector lamp), the light can be shaped in different ways – as direct light throughout the entire room or as indirect light via ceiling or wall illumination. When SKALA is placed in a row, it is particularly effective at illuminating hallways. Thanks to its flexibility SKALA can also be used as a wall light.
Installation is particularly easy thanks to small embedded magnets in the solid wood. After attaching the canopy to ceiling or wall the entire lamp is simply placed on top – securely fixed by magnets. SKALA is turned in Germany with dedicated craftsmanship from locally sourced wood . The careful selection of wood and a loving attention to detail ensure high quality and value of this lamp. The result is a durable sustainable product.
SKALA ceiling and wall lamp is available in three different shapes: Curve, Edge, Wave. Surface options include: oiled oak, oiled ash, white, yellow and rose stained.
